The topic of this forum is the Republic's passengers and crew, where you should post your questions related to families and descendants of those aboard the RMS Republic on her final trip, or other persons connected to the disaster and/or her rumored cargo. Another forum, The Cargo Forum, is where you should post your questions or information concerning the Republic's cargo and my related research and conclusions. And, finally, we have our Other Shipwreck Treasures Forum, where you can post your questions regarding other shipwrecks. |

Posted At 17:59:59 07/22/2001 I have a silver medal which I think may have been my grandfathers. However I don't see his name on your crew list. He may have served on the Baltic but as yet I have been unable to trace a list of its crew. I know the Gold medals where made for the captains of the vessels and Jack Binns but how where the silver and bronze divided? I would appreciate any help as my uncle who gave my dad the medal has recently passed away and my dad was to young to know if his father served on either of these ships. |
