Dear Republic: A few weeks ago I was in touch with you because you had contacted me since I had mentioned your site on my site www.whitehern.ca. I now have some more information on passengers: Mr. & Mrs. J.W. Woods, Miss E.B. Woods. Mr. & Mrs. James W. Woods lived at 91 Breadalbane St., summer residence 170 Centre Island; they had two daughters named Effie (likely short for Euphenia as your list states) and Mary; Mrs. Woods’ maiden name was Douglas (From: Toronto, Hamilton & London Society Blue Book by Tyrell). The other person mentioned in our letter besides the Cavens is Miss I.L. George and she may have been travelling as a friend of Miss Woods'. I am noting this in a footnote in my upcoming book (this fall)and will add it to the website but that will take a few weeks to appear(A45-5105, A91-6336, 6169). There is also a note in our letter about a "poor Mr. Woods of Woods' Fair [who] fell downstairs and so injured his spine, there was no hope for recovery" (A93-6347) but we don't know if he is related.
